Question fine art Giclee or fine art print?
I am planning to purchase an impressionist art picture for my living room and I do not which is better a giclee or a fine art print, I know that giclee is a bit more expensive but I do not if it is worth it.

Best Answer You need to find out a bit more about these prints. Lithograph prints can be Limited Edition (only a certain number of prints are made) or Open Edition (unlimited number - unsigned, these are usually referred to as Fine Art Prints). A signed limited edition in the lower numbers (under 1,000) is far more valuable than an open edition - it's usually printed with better colour balance & on better paper. Giclee prints are generally made with light-fast inks on acid-free paper. They are almost always Signed Limited Editions and usually in the low numbers. This print's market value is higher than either of the above, as it is considered to have a longer life (archival means 100 years in gallery conditions) and the quality of reproduction often rivals lithos. That said, hopefully, you'll buy the piece of art that you love - you'll have to live with it on your wall!

Question Where can I get Giclee fine print art done?
I just want to make copies of my original oil painting so I can sell the copies for some money. Also what places do it cheapest? Or does it need to be done through the Internet or mail?

Question Canvas giclee or fine art print (foil embossed)?
I'm going to buy a print for my girlfriend - a Klimt. However, I'm not sure which kind of print to go for. I tend to think that canvas prints try too hard to look like an original. But would it look better? Hmmm! Thanks for any answers!

Best Answer Giclee Prints on Canvas or Paintings on Canvas have been outperforming Prints on Paper or behind Glass in terms of Sales for the last 3 years. I believe that people have a low perceived value of anything behind glass because of the flood of the market with Framed Prints.
